Provincial Coordinator – 20 hours per week

The OPIRG Provincial Coordinator is a term employee responsible for the day-to-day administration of Ontario PIRG and provides support and assistance on several key initiatives. 

Basic Roles: Support Chapter PIRG staff and boards with the onboarding process into the Ontario PIRG network. Maintains the contact lists, files, and policies of the organization. Provides guidance on Ontario PIRG processes and decision-making. Attends or assists in coordinating various PIRG events, training, and meetings. Provides support in connecting PIRGs for cross-PIRG campaigns, resources, etc.

OPIRG Bookkeeper – 10 hours per week

The OPIRG Bookkeeper is a contract worker responsible for maintaining Ontario PIRG’s financial books and obligations.

Basic roles: filing & submitting invoices, reconciling the bank statements, completing annual audit, Greenshield, and LTD (Health Plan) administration for unionized CUPE1281 full-time staff in the PIRG network, creating & sharing charitable tax receipts, etc.
